The formula
Pen income = Σ (number of pets × that pet's money per second). Saving time = pickaxe price ÷ pen income. The estimate deliberately ignores cash you earn while farming, so treat it as an upper bound on how long a pickaxe takes.
What this does not model
Merge upgrades, event multipliers and pen capacity limits are not modelled here because the published sources do not agree on the exact numbers. When a value is not confirmed, it is left out rather than guessed.
